Uniquely, we strive to help our customers gain the relevant approvals and certification for their own products too, be it CE, UL or EMC to help them enter the market without delay.

IGS operates a Quality Management System that has gained BS-EN-ISO-9001:2015 certification. This includes aspects specific to specialist application solutions and the purchase and supply of quality electronic displays and optoelectronic products, either as stand-alone or as part of contract manufactured solutions.
The purpose of the Quality Management System is to ensure that components and services provided to our customers meet or exceed their expectations.
The company operates a system that regularly evaluates its processes, and customer needs, and sets quantifiable objectives with plans in place to give continuous improvement of product and service to our customers whilst addressing all current and applicable legislation.
Designing and manufacturing your product is not where our involvement ends. A product is no use until you have the approvals required for your target applications.
Our team of engineers are used to the ‘black arts’ of EMC, UL, CE and the host of other letters people like to throw at us!
With an ever expanding set of test equipment, we can offer pre-compliance testing in house, to give you an indicative set of results – reducing the time and hence money spent in test house chambers.
Do you have any questions about IPS’s Product Approval service?
I have a product manufactured by another company - will you help me with emc compliance?
Normally, I am afraid, this would be a no. We only offer our approvals engineers’ expertise and test equipment to our customers that we have designed and manufactured for.
As a business, you must have far east suppliers - what happens there in terms of approvals?
All of our suppliers, whether they are in the UK, Europe or the Far East, are regularly audited by our own staff.
Of course we make sure they have all the correct paperwork, but nothing is the same as physically checking up on procedures and improvements a couple of times each year.
